Camp Description:	Plenty of water at Log Cabin camp and flowing down to the Agua Blanca creek from the Pothole spring, but Agua Blanca creek still runs dry a couple of miles downstream of Log Cabin camp. Flies at Log Cabin camp were pretty bad. I lost the trail to Cove camp after only about a half mile.

Camp Description:	Two cleared sites. Both have bbq pits. One has firepit and more shade. Other has no shade. Potholes trail very overgrown with grasses, narrow but well defined trail. Clear from trail wilderness sign down to potholes. Some narrow sections on final descent to potholes. Lots of poison oak overgrowth from potrero springs to log Cabin. Water still flowing down. Agua Blanca from log cabin to trailhead is clear, some parts have poison oak slightly overgrown. Creek crossings have new growth over the trail, hard to spot where the trail starts again, but just go directly across. Devils Gateway maybe 1ft at deepest crossing section. Managed to cross with waterproof boots by tiptoeing and quick hop without getting too wet.

Camp Description:	3/15-3/16 Pothole trail to Log Cabin Camp, back to parking via Agua Blanca Trail Pothole trail: fairly steep with no shade, but in good condition. Last portion uphill has lots of bushes to push through but trail is mostly defined. Some spots where "trail" splits from visual/gps trail, but all meets up in the end. Log Cabin camp: lots of flat ground and wood for fires (when permitted). Water is NOT close to camp at all, at least closest we could find was walking down to Agua Blanca creek probably .3 miles and uphill on the way back to camp was annoying. Plenty of water right now. Lots of critters in the metal cabin skittering throughout the night, noisy frogs, and lack of any seating for the campfire ring made this a very average but not great campsite. EDIT: looks like maybe we didn't camp at Log Cabin but another campsite prior to where the pothole and Agua Blanca trail meet Agua Blanca trail: We made our way downhill back to the parking area, almost immediately had to get our feet wet which made the decision to walk through the pools in Devil's Gateway (where the canyon walls are high on both sides) easy. Got wet up to about knees. Rest of trail back fairly simple to follow with orange flagging at creek crossings, obvious recent maintenance helped. Some poison oak, but didn't seem too crazy (yet). HOWEVER, our dog was with us and we brushed off 5 ticks plus pulled 6+ more that had bitten. So beware! Last ~2-2.5 miles on dirt then paved road with no shade, a little demoralizing.

Camp Description:	Troop 108 Culver City took Pothole Trail from Lake Piru there and back. This is not an easy hike--in addition to the 2500' elevation gain & descent, be prepared for heavy overgrowth on most sections of the trail--plant life has taken over everywhere due to our wet winter! There is a serious wash-out near Pothole Spring approaching the Tin Roof Cabin past Pothole Spring--one more good storm could make this trail impassable in the ravine between Devils Portrero and the Tin Roof Cabin. The last .75 miles from Pothole Spring / Cabin down to the Agua Blanca is tough going--lots of brush, tree falls and an ungodly amount of poison oak. It took our Scout Troop an hour just to traverse this part--we were bushwacking following a very faint trail and could have used a saw to clear the trail on numerous occasions during this part. The camp itself was awesome, though. Very overgrown but beautiful & serene next to the flowing creek. We considered leaving via the Agua Blanca trail (19W10) to the east, but our experience with the poison oak and the generally poor condition of the trail coming in made us choose the "devil we knew" vs. the "devil we didn't". A really important thing to note here: on USFS maps there appears to be a trail (19W10) that takes you up and over the low saddle just to the west of the Devil's Gateway spire...well, that trail is gone, landslides took it out. We could barely pick it up due to it being so overgrown. So if you want to get to / leave Log Cabin camp via the Agua Blanca trail (19W10) you are going to have to do it through the stream where it passes through the Devil's Gateway. It's really narrow & deep there and expect to be in water up to your waist--this is why we choose to leave via the Pothole Trail. That being said, I'd love to recon this trail soon from the east where the creek connects to Piru Creek at Kesters Camp to determine if it's passable via that route to Log Cabin camp--the 2500' elevation gain / descent is pretty taxing. Bottom Line: great campsite but you are going to have to work for it. Oh, and take Bear-proofing your site seriously--we saw fresh scat and claw marks on trees.

Camp Description:	Agua Blanca trail to Log Cabins in decent shape but I would guess no one has used it in 6+ months. 4-5 downed trees (10-20" diameter) and 10-12 creek crossings where the trail isn't well marked; could use flags. Maybe Pot Holes trail in better shape.. We avoided because it was the first weekend of hunting season. Log Cabins itself is nice with a fairly steady trickle in creek. We tried to day hike to Cove/Big Narrows but that trail is all but gone. Even with good GPS we moved about 1 mile in 1 hour. We got as far as where the old Holister Camp used to be before turning back.
